Company Profile

Jones Investments (Aust) Pty Ltd is a wholly owned and operated Western Australian organisation enveloping two trading entities; Dee Catering and Logistic Services Pty Ltd (DCLS) and Aurum Catering Management Services (ACMS) both of which specialise in different aspects of catering.

DCLS was incorporated in 1972 as a multi-disciplined caterer providing services to
· Mining Camps
· Remote area construction camps
· Industrial Cafeterias and Canteens
· High Schools and Colleges

It also has a subsidiary trading unit, Dee-Lite-Full Catering, which looks after function catering at conventions, conferences, weddings and similar.

ACMS was formed in 1987 initially as a mine site catering company. It was very successful in this with contracts at many well known mining operations over the next few years. With the retirement of one of its partners, the company reorganised in 1992 and refocussed its effort into aged care catering. This proved fortuitous and the company has grown continuously looking after three long term contracts at ten facilities spread from Albany to Perth. These include five nursing homes and nine hostels. Over six hundred meals are prepared three times daily, as well as snacks and parties for the enjoyment of the residents.


Occupational Health and Safety Policy

The safety and health of all employees is of paramount importance to the company. The principals insist that high safety and health standards prevail at all times with respect to personnel, in the treatment of property and in the use of equipment. To this end the organisation:

  • Believes that all accidents can be prevented and it is the responsibility of both management and staff to eliminate their causes;
  • Practices the philosophy that prevention is better than cure;
  • Will encourage all individuals to be intolerant of unsafe and unhealthy practices and conditions;
  • Will not abide unsafe practices or conditions from whatever cause which may endanger the safety or health of personnel, or may result in damage to property or equipment.
  • Will take disciplinary action against any members of staff who violate their safety responsibilities or take appropriate action against any third party involved with the company, which exposes us to safety or health risks.

Quality Assurance Policy

Dee Catering and Aurum Catering Management Services are catering entities that have a policy of implementing and maintaining the highest standards at all levels with the aim of meeting clients needs in its activities. To this end the organisation has adopted a Quality Assurance Programme incorporating HACCP Principles and to conform to International Standard AS/NZS ISO 9002. To realise this policy the programme involves all staff members and applies to all operations.

Objectives:

  • Provision of high standard food prepared consistently in the consumer preferred manner while maintaining the nutritious value in balanced quantities.
  • Maintaining the highest hygiene standards at all outlets.
  • Polite and efficient service by staff member at all levels.

These are achieved by:

  • Involving all personnel in design and implementation of Quality Policies.
  • Determining and continuously updating the needs of customers.
  • Practising flexibility within contract bounds for adjustment of changing circumstances.
  • Monitoring and working with suppliers to ensure quality provisions are provided.
  • Early identification and expeditious rectification of problems.
  • Ongoing training to achieve objectives and to improve processes.
  • Maintaining equipment in serviceable condition.

Commitment at all levels is required and encouraged to ensure this policy works to the satisfaction of the company and the clients it serves.
